Josh 5:12 The manna ceased on the day after they had eaten some of the produce of the land, so that the sons of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate some of the yield of the land of Canaan during that year.
There is a sense in Christendom that the wanderings of the people of God are over and the battle for the land is about to commence.
In so many ways we have come to the land which flows with milk and honey and we are able to eat the fruit of the land. For us as a group of people we have seen great gains through 2008. God has been very good to us.
HOWEVER
For the church in Aylesbury for 2009 I want us to focus on what the children of Israel had to focus on the actual possession of the land. We need as they did to establish kingdom rule which Jesus said is all embracing of what God has done for us.
Jesus taught us when He shared about prayer that we were to pray
Matt 6:10 “Your kingdom come, Your will be done, On earth as it is in heaven.”
This was a pray for God’s rule and government would be re-established and then realised on the earth.
Mankind lost the right to rule when Adam fell and His relationship with a Holy God was severed and consequently the right to rule and reign as it had been intended was finished.
For the church to really achieve all that the Lord desires we must come to a place where we are portraying and proclaiming the kingdom, with all that entails.
Our heart has never really been to build a church in the general sense but to build a group of people who would take their place in ensuring the power of the enemy would be crushed and the name of Jesus lifted high wherever we go.
Now we believe for 2009 the Lord is calling us as group of people together who will rule in the midst of our enemies. To form a powerful united kingdom group who will ensure through unity, powerful praying and strategised service the downfall of the one who is seeking to destroy Gods’ ways and raise up a different value system.
We as we forcefully advance the kingdom will see the downfall of these powers and the rising up of a standard for King Jesus which will shake everything and cause it to come the right way up.
