Profiles:
Steve and Karina Maile are the founders and senior pastors of LIFC. They are also the parents of four beautiful children: Celeste, Daniel, Hannah and Joel.
Steve and Karina have travelled extensively, equipping Churches globally. Steve's ministry is characterised by straightforward preaching. He is a humorous and gifted communicator to young and old alike, often with signs and wonders accompanying his message. Steve became a Christian in Auckland, New Zealand, in 1979, being Mentored and Pastored by Dr Kevin Dyson. Soon after entering the ministry, he travelled through Asia, Europe, Africa, India, South and Central America, Australasia, USA and the British Isles.Roger Cole has been a pastor in Oxfordshire Community Churches for over 20 years. He recently moved to take on the leadership of Henley Baptist Church. He moves widely in the gifts of the Spirit, and has a heart to encourage others to do the same. He has an ability to build faith and help people to see God’s supernatural as a part of everyday life.
Gary Gibbs has been in 'full-time' evangelistic ministry since 1979.
British Youth for Christ appointed him as the director of the work in Derby. After several years there and considerable growth of Derby YFC, he moved on to the national evangelistic staff.
From 1983 - 1994, Gary was involved in a travelling ministry reaching out to unchurched people from a wide range of backgrounds. During this period, he was often working in partnership with other creative ministries.
He was one of the leaders of the youth work at Spring Harvest for a decade.
From the mid-nineties, until September 2003, Gary stopped travelling to a large degree and concentrated on helping his home church (Community Church Derby) transform into the effective fellowship it now is.
Since then, there has been a fresh release into helping other churches both in the UK and across the world to become more clearly missional in their vision, values and activities.
Gary is married to Sally and they have produced three (nearly) grown-up children, Ben, Kate and Tom.Alan & Val Stevens
Alan (an accountant) and Val (a chemistry teacher) were part of the leadership of a church in Watford with Alan Vincent from 1979 to 1994. They then moved to Uzbekistan to pioneer the gospel amongst the Muslims for five years before returning to the UK in 2000 when Alan became UK director of Frontiers. They have three sons and five grandsons.
Alan Vincent
Alan Vincent is from San Antonio, Texas. Alan and his wife, Eileen, have three grown children and five grandchildren. They were converted in 1958 and within weeks heard the call to serve God in India. They spent 13 years pioneering the work of God in and around Bombay, where they saw thousands saved. They then relocated their family to Hertfordshire and established churches there until God called them to move to San Antonio in 1991. A frequent worldwide traveller Alan serves a growing number of leaders and churches in North and Central America, as well as Europe, Africa and India. He is an anointed apostle who teaches with God-given revelation, imparting faith to people all over the world.
Barney Coombs is the leader of the International Council of Salt & Light Ministries. He is received apostolically by many charismatic churches in North America, Africa, India, Europe, the UK and New Zealand and is seen as the 'father' of the Salt and Light family of churches.
He is widely recognised for his pastoral gifting and has written a number of books including ‘A Guide to Practical Pastoring’ and ‘Apostles Today’. His latest book, ‘God’s Plan for Himself’, is Barney’s life message and looks in detail at God’s original plan and man’s destiny.
Barney has pastored churches in Basingstoke, England and Vancouver, Canada and is presently based at West Coast Christian Fellowship in Vancouver. He is married to Janette and they have three children and eight grandchildren.
